Description:

The intern may participate in the following activities, under the supervision of the tutor:

• Classification of land cover and creation of water surface maps from multispectral satellite images;
• Classification of the intermittent flow regime of non-perennial rivers;
• Development of automatic algorithms for image classification.

Within the scope of the above activities, depending on their attitude and previous skills, interns may carry out bibliographic analysis, analyze and develop case studies, and develop hydraulic modeling.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of river hydromorphology and basics of remote sensing. ability to work in a GIS environment. The ability to process satellite images is helpful but not strictly necessary.
