Description:
The trainee will be integrated into the activities of the Laboratory of Archaeology – M. Napoli at the University of Salerno, within the framework of the project “Archaeology, Public Engagement and Digital Innovation.” The position entails progressive involvement in archaeological research activities, including data management and systematization, preparation of scientific and dissemination materials, and development of digital content for heritage communication.
The trainee will also collaborate in the organization of public archaeology initiatives, events, participating in cultural project design and in the definition of project concepts at the European level. The programme is structured according to a mentoring and learning-by-doing model, culminating in the development of a guided individual project consistent with the laboratory’s research lines
Requirements:
Applicants must be enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree programmes in Archaeology or related fields, and must demonstrate a good command of English (minimum level B2).
Preferred qualifications include:
- basic knowledge of archaeological methodology and data management;
- interest in archaeological heritage communication and public archaeology;
- basic digital skills (text editing, web content management, digital communication tools);
- ability to work in team-based and international environments.
