Description:

The intern may participate in the following activities, under the supervision of the tutor:

• Critical analysis of river restoration case studies, identifying benefits and critical issues;
• Analysis of pressures and impacts on river ecosystems;
• Identification of measures to improve the ecological status of rivers
• Fixed-bed and mobile-bed hydraulic modeling to predict future scenarios after intervention;
• Within the scope of the above activities, depending on their attitude and previous skills, interns may carry out bibliographic analysis, analyze and develop case studies, and develop hydraulic modeling.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of river hydraulics and basics of river ecology. Ability to work in a GIS environment.
